BASELondon is a new one day event to be held at the brand new Capital Suite at ExCeL, on 27th May 2010. It will be opened by mayor Boris Johnson.

It is about all matters relating to sustainability in London and how this affects its competitive position as an attractor to business. It will also be a showcase for what London has achieved and what it aims to achieve in the future.

BASELondon will be a powerful complement to the launch of base in March and will be a unique opportunity for business that is targeting the burgeoning green or smart city market to learn first hand the opportunities that exist for them. It will also serve the key information needs of incumbent London businesses; how the sustainability profile of their city is developing and what City Hall has planned for the immediate and medium term future.

Content will be independent and pithy and steered by a senior advisory board chaired by Steve Norris - BASELondon will be relevant to business on a general and practical level. Sessions will get a handle on the risks, challenges and opportunities in the developing green London economy.
